Bell'Arte Music Drama
Bell'Arte Music Drama presents a unique blending of music, theatre and the literary arts. With scripts integrating music into the storyline, Bell'Arte recreates musical salons and bohemian enclaves from our artistic past. Theatrical recitals? Musical Plays? Audiences respond enthusiastically to the unique presentation. And many people have remarked on their excitement in exploring the intriguing lives of artists from previous eras.
The creator behind Bell'Arte Music Drama is mezzo-soprano and pianist, Elisabeth Wagner. The scripts arose from Elisabeth's desire to create a more theatrical musical presentation for her audience, in so doing revealing the characters and lives that have shaped art, music and literary life. Fascinated by what fuels creativity and the synergies of collaboration, Elisabeth's research resulted in her developing these programs and scripts. She has produced each show to a warm reception. The first of these productions occurred in Victoria, BC, in 2006 with others occurring in Chicago, Illinois, and Regina, Saskatchewan.
Elisabeth is a member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada.
